Introduction
Esco Uganda Ltd is a family business working
directly with farmers to export high quality vanilla
and other agricultural commodities. Direct, long-
term relationships with farmers are integral to
our approach as we strive to further the Ugandan
vanilla industry.

We are commodity exporters with a difference:
Esco Uganda trains and supports farmers to
produce crops for the global market, connecting
East Africa with the consumer and putting small-
scale farmers on the map.

planifolia), as well as extract grades.

The market for green vanilla in Uganda can be
volatile which means we have to maintain constant
close contact with farmers all the way across
the country in order to support their families
and obtain vanilla beans of highest quality. We
currently work with farmers in Mukono, Kagadi,
Kasese, Bundibugyo and elsewhere.
